10th Anniversary Participa Gran Canaria

Celebration for the 10th Anniversary of Participa Gran Canaria in El Soco, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

A decade of Citizen Participation has made the Cabildo de Gran Canaria a benchmark for participatory public governance in the Canary Islands and in Spain. Ten years accompanying Gran Canaria society in the construction of an open, inclusive, supportive, democratic, sustainable, and transformative public policy

An event that will be attended by the president of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, @antoniomoralesgc, and the Minister of Presidency, @teososam.

This Friday, December 5, we invite entities, associations, professionals, and those who have followed us over these 10 years, to a very special gathering to continue celebrating a decade of shared work 🤝✨

It will be a day to highlight those who have accompanied @participagrancanaria of @cabildodegrancanaria over these years, promoting:

🟢 Participatory Workshops and Regulations
💻 Digital democracy and new technologies as democratizing tools
🏛️ Citizen participation in local governments across the island
🤲 Constant collaboration with the associative fabric
📍 Participatory processes in the territory, with a consolidated program of subsidies and technical support
🎓 Public participation in academic and scientific spaces
🌱 The strategic project Ecoisla Gran Canaria 2030 Agenda, connecting citizens and associations

Additionally, we will present a summary video of these 10 years of Citizen Participation and an exhibition of posters with the different activities developed during this decade will be inaugurated 🖼️🎬

The day will also feature music and a snack to celebrate this shared journey together.
