Carnival — «Traditional Carnival» in Plaza de Los Algodoneros, Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Gran Canaria.
Within the framework of the program «Our Roots», the municipality will prepare for Thursday, March 12, an afternoon to recover the essence of the historical Carnival format.
The scheduled time for the event, free and open to all, starts around 5:00 p.m. with a workshop focused on the making and common creation of masks. At 6:00 p.m., a snack will be offered with carnival tortillas and chocolate, along with Canarian parrandas.
The party will close at 8:00 p.m. with its open-air dance installed at the foot of Plaza de Los Algodoneros itself, featuring the performance of the popular Wamampy Orchestra.
