The Anglocanarian International Classroom organizes the II cycle of talks The Canarian Legacy in Louisiana, within which on Friday, June 26, at 7:00 PM, ULPGC graduate, and current Master's student at Louisiana State University, Sofía Bernal, gives the lecture An Approach to Canarian Emigration to Louisiana and its Cultural Influence, at the British Club of Las Palmas.

Sofía Bernal will discuss her research on the Canarian cultural influence in Louisiana and her comparative study of oral traditions on both sides of the Atlantic, specifically the relationship between décimas in Hispanic oral tradition with the romance tradition in the Canary Islands and America.
