Talk – Scientific Debate «Stories that cross borders» at the Central Building of the University Library, Tafira, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
The University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the Scientific-Technological Park Foundation organize, in collaboration with the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, a scientific debate around the phenomenon of immigration which, under the name “Stories that cross borders”, seeks to establish itself as a space for reflection and dialogue around one of the great social challenges of our time, so that, through knowledge and dialogue, we can reach a deeper understanding of migrations and their impact on our society.
This debate will bring together leading specialists from the ULPGC to analyze the migratory phenomenon from a scientific, social, and legal perspective, fostering a critical, informed, and pluralistic view.
The debate will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 17:00 hours, in the Violet Space of the University Library (Tafira University Campus). Participants will include, with the moderation of Professor Rafael Molina Petit:
Nasara Cabrera Abu, Director of Cooperation at ULPGC. Professor and researcher specializing in cooperation and international affairs.
Lucas Pérez Martín, Director of Senior Training at ULPGC. Professor and researcher specializing in Private International Law and relations with the European Union.
Josefina Domínguez Mujica, Professor of Human Geography at ULPGC.
