Aimed at professionals from different fields, public administrations, professional associations, educational centers, social entities, and citizens in general, this initiative proposes a meeting space with key figures in the field of equality and gender violence to review beliefs, question stereotypes, and move towards more egalitarian and respectful relationship models.

The conference aims to focus on the importance of detecting the first manifestations of violence before it escalates, promoting prevention and awareness tools that allow for action based on co-responsibility and collective commitment. Likewise, the fundamental role of men in building a society free from sexist violence will be addressed, highlighting that men are not only recipients of change but must be an active part of the solution, engaging in the promotion of masculinities based on respect, equality, and good treatment.

What the conference is about: dialogue with key figures in gender violence, art, and practical workshops to review beliefs, build egalitarian models, and learn to detect violence before it escalates. Men are not just part of the problem; they can be an active part of the solution.

Speakers: Miguel Lorente Acosta, forensic doctor and university professor, former Government delegate for Gender Violence and one of the most recognized voices in the analysis and prevention of sexist violence. Carmen Ruiz Repullo, sociologist, professor at the University of Granada and author of the renowned co-educational program Pepa y Pepe, a benchmark in the prevention of gender violence among adolescents and young people. Soledad Pérez Rodríguez, former director of the Andalusian Institute for Women, with extensive experience in promoting public policies for equality and support for victims of gender violence.

The Department of Equality and Diversity encourages all institutions and professionals linked to education, social intervention, health, security, justice, and the community to participate in this conference, convinced that only through dialogue, training, and shared commitment can we move towards a more just, egalitarian, and gender violence-free society.
