The sessions will be held on the 5th, 12th, 13th, 19th and 20th of this month of December, and each of them will be dedicated to a specific tradition or knowledge. Specifically, the one that will take place in Temisas (Agüimes) will focus on Canarian wrestling; the one in La Atalaya (Santa Brígida), on toponymy; the one in Tejeda, on dry stone; the one in Tenteniguada (Valsequillo), on artisanal crafts, and the one in Juncalillo (Gáldar), on whistling.
In this regard, it should be noted that each theme reflects a particular form of relationship between communities and their environment, from knowledge transmitted from generation to generation to practices that have shaped the landscape, crafts, language, and daily life of the midlands.
