

Film Forum – «The Song of the Hands»
Film Forum — «The Song of the Hands» in the Humanities Auditorium, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
On March 26, at 5:00 p.m., a film forum activity will take place, organized by the Sign Language Classroom, with the collaboration of the Faculty of Philology and the Vice-Rectorate for Culture, Sport and Society, in the Auditorium of the Humanities Building (Obelisco Campus).
The Song of the Hands (María Valverde, 2025) will be screened, a documentary that tells the story of Jennifer, Gabriel, and José, three deaf musicians from Venezuela, who face the challenge of bringing Beethoven's work Fidelio to the stage for the first time in sign language, under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel.
The event will proceed according to the following program:
5:00-5:05 p.m.: Intervention by the Director of the LSE Classroom, Caridad Suárez.
5:05-6:45 p.m.: Screening of the documentary The Song of the Hands.
6:45-7:45 p.m.: Intervention by the director and debate, with the participation of FUNCASOR, ASORLASPALMAS, and the Faculty of Philology.
7:45-8:00 p.m.: Closing of the event by the Director of the LSE Classroom.
