Film Screening ‘Damned Wars: Black Limbo’ at CCA Gran Canaria, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
This Thursday, February 19th at 7:00 p.m. we screen Black Limbo, by Lorenzo Benítez, at the Audiovisual Culture Center of Gran Canaria (CCA).
A documentary that recovers a silenced history: the disappearance of the independence leader Acacio Mañé in former Spanish Guinea and the impunity of the Francoist colonial repression. Sixty years later, the film reopens the investigation and reflects on historical memory, oblivion, and the traces of colonialism.
After the screening, we will hold an open discussion with the audience.
