Classical – «Concentus Musicus Wien»
Classical — Concentus Musicus Wien at the Pérez Galdós Theater, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Concentus Musicus Wien returns to the Pérez Galdós Theater with J.S. Bach's celebrated Brandenburg Concertos, an experience the group dedicates to the memory of its founder, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, on the tenth anniversary of his passing. Under the direction of Stefan Gottfried, the ensemble reinterprets these pieces for the ears of today's audience, keeping alive the legacy of its creator. This concert is performed in collaboration with the Philharmonic Society of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
The program includes the complete performance of the six Brandenburg Concertos (BWV 1046-1051): No. 1 in F major, No. 3 in G major, No. 5 in D major, No. 4 in G major, No. 6 in B-flat major, and No. 2 in F major. For over 60 years, Concentus Musicus Wien has been the core of Harnoncourt's musical creativity, developing its own language based on a well-founded and dynamic interpretation with historical criteria.
