Since its inception, La Parranda de Teror has developed a cultural project to rescue activities stemming from the reality of the Canarian people, in addition to studying the musical phenomenon of our archipelago. Inspired by the influence of “the moon,” the symbol of La Parranda de Teror, they have made a dream come true that began in 1989. During this time, the Parranda has become a musical and cultural benchmark, not only in the municipality of Teror but throughout the entire archipelago, through its six album releases, and its countless performances and collaborations in numerous popular and cultural events. Furthermore, their successful work in researching and adapting traditional music compositions, both from the Canary Islands and Latin America, has earned them great praise and recognition from artists with whom they have had the pleasure of sharing the stage, musicians of the stature of Compay Segundo, Lucrecia, and Elíades Ochoa, among others. In more than three decades of uninterrupted operation, La Parranda de Teror has successfully promoted the rescue of street parades (pasacalles) and serenades, in addition to having participated in multiple important Festivals and popular events in the islands, as well as on the peninsula, the sister island of Cuba, and the town of San Bernardo in New Orleans (USA). On this occasion, they return with the second edition of their Christmas Concert, a heartwarming event featuring the sweetest melodies treasured within the repertoire of this significant group with over thirty years of history.
