Concert – Word of Gran Canaria

Concert «Word of Gran Canaria» at the Cultural Center of Villa de Santa Brígida, Gran Canaria.

The Santa Brígida City Council invites citizens to enjoy the concert “Word of Gran Canaria”, which will take place at the Cultural Center on January 16, at 8:30 PM.

On stage, a band formed by four musicians builds a rich and enveloping sound base, while the voices of Claudia Álamo y Manuel Estupiñán guide the audience through stories, emotions, and soundscapes deeply linked to the island's identity, its collective memory, and its intangible cultural heritage. Stories told and sung from an artistic, sensitive, and close perspective.

For approximately one hour, the audience is invited to pause and listen, to recognize sounds and words that are part of the Canarian imaginary, reinterpreted through a careful and honest staging. The lighting and scenic approach accompany this narrative, reinforcing the feeling of attending an almost ceremonial, intimate, and profoundly human experience.

Word of Gran Canaria is, in essence, a meeting between music and narration that seeks to move, connect, and remember where we come from, embraced by the warmth of the voices of Claudia Álamo and Manuel Estupiñán and the constant pulse of the accompanying musicians.
