Concert – «Resilient»
Concert «Resilient» at the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Resilient is a musical journey through the strength of the spirit, where music becomes a beacon of hope and overcoming. The concert invites exploration of the depths of the human spirit through three masterpieces that speak of the ability to adapt and grow in the face of adversity. The program includes Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2, performed by Canarian pianist Isaac Martínez Mederos; the evocative melodies of Ferde Grofé's Mississippi Suite, on the centenary of its premiere; and the work Heroes, by Canarian composer Óscar García, a commission from the OCGC that reflects on courage in every act of overcoming. The Gran Canaria Community Orchestra celebrates with this experience the inherent human capacity to transform challenges into opportunities.
