Concert «Rhythms of the World: from ritual to party» by the Municipal Symphonic Band in Plaza del Pilar Nuevo, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

This program, offered by the Municipal Symphonic Band of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, proposes a sound journey through different cultures and musical traditions of the world, where rhythm is the true common thread. From the symbolic and almost ritual evocation of Ciclo de Ríos and Oblivium, to the explosion of energy and color of popular music from America and the Latin sphere, the concert travels through musical landscapes full of identity, movement, and emotion.

Traditional dances —joropo, Venezuelan waltz— coexist with iconic works from the symphonic-popular repertoire such as, Tico-Tico no fubá, Libertango, La Conga del Fuego Nuevo, or El Cumbanchero, in a journey that goes from the ancestral to the urban, from introspection to collective celebration.

A vibrant and contrasted concert, where the Symphonic Band becomes a great multicultural stage, celebrating diversity, rhythmic pulse, and the expressive power of music as a universal language.
