This documentary recounts the story of Free Convict, a collective of Hip Hop artists formed inside the General Penitentiary of Venezuela. In a prison environment controlled entirely by the inmates themselves, rap emerged as a tool for awareness and transformation.

What began as a form of expression behind bars quickly became a life project. Through music, these young people understood the reality that surrounded them and united to analyze their mistakes, driving profound change from within.

“When You Set a Goal” is an essential testimony about redemption: it shows how the collective decided, once out of prison, to channel their experience to guide other young people, demonstrating that real alternatives to violence exist. A powerful story that reaffirms our conviction that, through unity and the fight for the common good, it is possible to transform our communities and break the cycles of the past.
