Documentary — F*ck Fame at the CCA (Audiovisual Culture Center), Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

This documentary short film narrates the story of “Batallones Femeninos,” a collective of Mexican female rappers that emerged in response to the need to create safe spaces and foster unity in a traditionally male-dominated Hip Hop scene. In a country marked by one of the highest rates of femicides, these artists have transformed rap into a vehicle of resistance. Through their rhymes, they denounce gender-based violence, disappearances, the crisis of narco-states, and the fight for human rights and the freedom of political prisoners. Beyond denunciation, the documentary highlights the power of their proposal: rejecting internal competition to prioritize sisterhood. The protagonists explain how the creation of this collective has allowed them to empower themselves, protect each other, and demonstrate that, at the heart of Hip Hop, true power lies in community.
