Gran Canaria, in Maspalomas, will host the Global Sustainable Islands Summit 2026 from April 20 to 22, an international event promoted by Island Innovation in collaboration with the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, which will be held at Expomeloneras. The summit will bring together institutional representatives, companies, and researchers from island territories in the Pacific, Caribbean, Africa, and Europe to address some of the major common challenges for islands, such as sustainability, the blue economy, sustainable tourism, and climate action. The objective is to foster the exchange of knowledge and the creation of practical alliances with real impact on the future of these territories.
