

Festival – ESPAL 2026 in the Street
Festival «ESPAL on the Street» in the Pedestrian Zone Avenida de Canarias and Plaza de los Algodoneros, Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Gran Canaria.
10 AM to 8 PM – Book fair, collective gathering, and workshops for families. On Av. de Canarias. Bring 1 kg of food or hygiene products and exchange it for a book.
12 PM – Theater «The Smallest House» in the Multipurpose Tent. Theater for families (from 5 to 103 years old). With a suitcase and the desire to return soon, Bettina arrives at a refugee camp escaping the war.
1 PM – Activities «Dances and foods of the world» in the Plaza de los Algodoneros. 1:00 PM Dances, 2:00 PM Foods, 4:30 PM Dances.
5 PM – Jilorio Cultural (Live Podcast) in the Multipurpose Tent. A live podcast with a divulgative objective and a multidisciplinary approach, driven by young women.
6 PM – Worlds in verse. Rap improvisation contest in the Plaza de Los Algodoneros. Sureste Manda Collective. Improvised rap battle where rhyme and creativity will be at the service of a clear message: no to war.
8 PM – Concert – In times of Magua (Cristina Mahelo & Lajalada) in the Plaza de Los Algodoneros. Cristina Mahelo presents a musical proposal that has been slow-cooked, singing from ‘wounds’ to heal them.
9 PM – Concert by Lornoar in the Plaza de Los Algodoneros. Singer-songwriter from Cameroon, she is one of the most unique voices in the contemporary African scene. Her music starts from oral tradition to dialogue with modern rhythms.
11 PM – Concert by 47SOUL in the Plaza de Los Algodoneros. Pioneer musical collective based in London and Palestine. Creators of the Shamstep genre by fusing electronic hip-hop and traditional Dabke dance music.
