Video Games – El Belingo with «A Short Hike» at Café d’Espacio, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

We are still thinking about the name, but we believe that El Belingo is a good title for a video game club. Thursday, December 18th at Café d’Espacio. @cafedespacio

In this first session we will play «A Short Hike», a title available for various platforms between 4-8€. And we will use it as a tool to talk about the ways of representing rurality, nature, and the city in video games, from ecoviolence to archaeology.

We recommend that those who wish to tinker with the game do so, but we also want to invite those who are curious about the medium, regardless of their experience with video games. In the first part of the session, we will have time to explore its landscape and mechanics.

Soon (indefinite time) we will share the Discord server to create a virtual space where we can share experiences, recommendations and, if we get carried away during the session, a possible compilation fanzine of reflections and ideas.
