Master Class — The Image as a Lever for Change – taught by Meda Thiat at the SIC4Change Space, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
The image as a lever for change is a masterclass taught by Meda Thiat focused on the use of photography as a tool for social transformation. Through a critical and participatory perspective, we will reflect on the role of the image in raising awareness and denouncing social realities, addressing topics such as photographic ethics, consent, the context of images, storytelling, and activism. The activity will offer a space for learning and dialogue on how photography can contribute to generating awareness and promoting social change.
