Music — «Letters to Néstor»
Music — Letters to Néstor at the Pérez Galdós Theater, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
‘Letters to Néstor’ is an emotional tribute to the legacy of Néstor Álamo, reinterpreted from a contemporary perspective. The show pays homage to one of the most influential figures in Canarian culture, fusing the musical tradition of the islands with modern arrangements. An essential evening for lovers of the archipelago's cultural identity.
This show offers a unique journey through his musical legacy, reinterpreted from a contemporary perspective. The voices of Iván Quintana and Besay Pérez, two leading performers in the Canarian music scene, join the Las Palmas Symphony Orchestra Ensemble and traditional instruments to offer new interpretations of emblematic works such as «Sombra del Nublo», «Ay, Teror» or «Maspalomas y tú».
Far from a traditional recreation, ‘Letters to Néstor’ seeks to move audiences through the richness of its arrangements and interpretive power, without losing the popular and emotional essence of these songs. The result is a show that builds a bridge between past and present, between roots and innovation, demonstrating that Canarian music can engage with new languages without renouncing its identity.
