Musical — «The Sound of Music» at the Agüimes Auditorium Theater, Gran Canaria.
Salzburg, 1938. Maria Rainer is a young novice from Nonnberg Abbey whose free spirit and passion for music clash with the rigid rules of the congregation. To help her find her way, the mother abbess decides to send her to serve as governess to the seven children of Captain Georg von Trapp, a widowed former military man. Upon arriving at her new home, Maria discovers that the children live under strict discipline with no room for fun. However, with her contagious joy and passion for music, Maria manages to win the hearts of the little ones and also begins to awaken feelings for the captain that make her doubt her future. All this happens while the situation in the country becomes complicated by the rise of Nazism and the imminent annexation of Austria to the Third Reich.
This Theatre Properties production has a duration of 135 minutes (including intermission). Doors open 45 minutes before the start.
