Synopsis: Year 1844. Miranda, the daughter of farmers, is invited to spend some time at Dragonwyck Castle, where a distant cousin of her mother, Nicholas Van Ryn, lives with his sick wife and daughter. Miranda falls in love with Van Ryn, who, shortly after becoming a widower, marries her, but then dark secrets begin to come to light.
