Performance — «THIRST»
Performance — THIRST at the Lola Massieu Exhibition Hall, Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Gran Canaria.
On March 26, we await you at the inauguration of THIRST!, a performance by Raquel Ponce.
From an expanded concept of scenic practices, THIRST seeks to delve into the grammar of an intervened, disarticulated dramaturgy, as well as into narration strategies, modes of narrating, and the devices and procedures to allow the spectator to construct the work.
In this way, the piece is articulated as if it were a large word search; where the word determines the action and constructs images. Visual texts that move in space.
Choreographed texts, drawing writings, drawing words, observing their physicality, their volume, as if they were a body, observing their limit, how much flexibility can be contained in a word? If choreography is writing, how do you make writing move? If I use words to write, will their movement make the writing move? Is what moves thought, its meaning, or a choreographic thought?
THIRST is, in addition to all that has been said, a site-specific project, in which there is no single front, no stands or seats to occupy; in which the public must move and choose from where they wish to look and experience it.
Performance: Thursday, March 26, at 8:00 p.m.
