Magmatik en Cenobio is a series of paintings that proposes a fiction: a journey through time where the ancient peoples of the Canary Islands appear integrated into contemporary raves, inhabiting natural spaces and being part of the celebration.

Canarians, Guanches, Mahos, Bimbapes, Awaras and Gomeritas intersect with electronic music, the volcanic landscape and track culture, not as a contrast, but as a continuity. Past and present coexist in the same scene.

On 06/02 the exhibition will be presented in an open meeting format, with a talk included. The origin of the series, the creative process, references used for painting, images of work in progress and previous works will be shared. A space to ask questions, comment and generate collective reflection around painting, electronic music and Canarian identity.
