Book Presentation «Wild Innocence: Andrea Abreu's Jarrapa Girls» at the Socio-Cultural Center LA CASA VERDE, Firgas, Gran Canaria.
The Socio-Cultural Center LA CASA VERDE in the Villa de Firgas will host on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 7:00 PM, the presentation of “Wild Innocence: Andrea Abreu's Jarrapa Girls,” by the artist from Moya, Sandra González Reina. This event consists of the presentation of an essay and an exhibition that explore the importance of the child female gaze in the narrative of the renowned writer from Tenerife, Andrea Abreu. During the event, the author will be accompanied by Echedey Medina Déniz and José Miguel Perera.
Sandra González Reina, artistically known as @margullito, recently published this hundred-page essay that inaugurates the collection “El 7 de la lengua” by Mercurio Editorial. The work constitutes the first in-depth study on “Panza de burro,” one of the most successful and widely disseminated novels in contemporary Canarian literature. The essay analyzes how the child's perspective and vernacular language construct the literary universe of the original work, offering a unique academic and artistic vision.
