Presentation of the book by renowned Ugandan author Jennifer Nansubuga Makumbi, who will present her acclaimed novel The First Woman. It will be a special occasion to hear her in a dialogue with the book's translator, Marta Sofía López.

During this encounter, we will discover Kirabo's powerful story and delve into the universal themes that run through the work: the strength of the clan, freedom, motherhood, and memory. This activity is part of Casa África's program to celebrate International Women's Day within the African Letters series. Admission is free until full capacity is reached.
