

Presentation – Book: Cookbook of utilization
Book Presentation: «Awareness about food waste. Cookbook for making the most of food», at the April 26th Room of the institutional headquarters of the ULPGC, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
This book is published by the University, with co-financing from the DISA Foundation and SPAR Gran Canaria. The event will feature the presence of the Rector of ULPGC, Lluís Serra, and Professor José Antonio González, author and coordinator of the work.
The work has been structured into three blocks. The awareness block consists of a chapter by the Rector of ULPGC, another by the President of the Las Palmas Food Bank, and a third by the dietitian-nutritionist Ana Luisa Álvarez, director of the GastroFood HUB. The second block, about the workshops that have been carried out for this purpose through the Classroom, features contributions from the director of the Classroom, the internist physician Belén Alonso and the gastronomic advisor Luis Benítez. The last block has been introduced by the former director of Health and Well-being of ULPGC, Fina Ramal, and culminates with 25 creative and illustrated recipes for making the most of food, developed by the artist and chef Samuel López.
