Registration period open to participate in the new hiking program of the Municipality of Agüimes. The Agüimes City Council opens this Monday, March 2, the registration period to participate in a new edition of the municipal hiking program Caminatas Primavera 2026, which will take place between March and June of this year.

Registrations to participate in this initiative, which includes four routes through some of the most emblematic natural landscapes of Gran Canaria, can be formalized in person at the Casa de la Cultura de Agüimes.

The activities are aimed at people over 18 years old, or over 16 accompanied by adults, and have a maximum of 53 places per outing. The participation price will be 8 euros per route, registrations must be formalized in person at the Casa de la Cultura de Agüimes until full capacity is reached.

The activity is aimed at promoting healthy lifestyle habits, contact with nature, and coexistence among citizens through guided routes through different natural areas of the island. It is important to attend the hikes with appropriate equipment, including hiking footwear already used previously, comfortable clothing, sun protection, sufficient water, and a backpack adapted to the activity. Likewise, it is recommended to carry a charged mobile phone and a small personal first-aid kit to ensure the safe development of the routes.
