Hiking Route — «Astronomical Route: Cruz de los Llanos – Garañón» from Cruz de los Llanos, Tejeda, Gran Canaria.

The route begins at Cruz de los Llanos, We will start the route from Cruz de los Llanos, taking the path that leads towards the degollada de Piedras Blancas. We will follow this path bordering the donkey recovery center until we reach the Salado forest track.

On this track, we will make a short ascent to get a better panoramic view to the west. From this point, we will enjoy the sunset between the islands of Gran Canaria and Tenerife. After sunset, we will provide an introduction to the observable sky above us. We will finish the route at the Campamento el Garañón facilities where we will observe the sky using telescopes. The route has a horizontal distance of 2 kilometers, and a low difficulty.
