15. Hiking – San Pedro – Agaete

The Sports Service organizes dream routes at all levels where you can enjoy the nature and landscapes of Gran Canaria. Discover the trails and paths that will lead you through charming and picturesque villages, admire the flora and fauna of the surroundings, observe the passes, ravines, peaks, and unparalleled rock formations of nature.
The route starts from San Pedro at the bottom of the Agaete valley, we will begin a steep ascent in which we will gain more than 600 meters of positive elevation. From this point we will enjoy a spectacular view of the Agaete valley, the dragon's tail, and we will be halfway to Tamadaba. We will continue our way beginning a long and gentle descent towards the coast. In some sections the path narrows, so you have to stay attentive to the trail. On a track in the final section, we will reach the road that connects Agaete with La Aldea. After crossing it, we have the last descent that will take us practically to the end of the route in Puerto de las Nieves. With a horizontal distance of 9.8 kilometers, medium-high difficulty, and an approximate duration of 4:15 h.
