Hiking – Tufia
Hiking – November Forest Route in Tufia, Telde, Gran Canaria.
Next Sunday's walk will allow participants to discover the dune systems and the Site of Scientific Interest in the area.
This Sunday, November 30, Tufia will be one of the settings for November Forest 2025, thanks to the organization of a hiking route promoted by Turcón–Ecologistas en Acción and framed within the programming of the Environment Area of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria. The activity seeks to bring citizens closer to the natural values of the coast and promote environmental education from a practical and accessible perspective.
Canarian coastal ecosystems
The organization explains that this edition focuses on coastal ecosystems, which is why the strip between Tufia, Aguadulce, and Barranco Hondo has been chosen. The route will allow participants to discover dune systems, unique geological formations, and elements of the natural and cultural heritage of the Tufia Site of Scientific Interest, one of the most valuable enclaves in the municipality.
A family and introductory route
The walk is designed as an educational and awareness-raising activity, ideal for families and for those who wish to start direct contact with nature. It is a 4-kilometer route, of low difficulty and with an approximate duration of three hours, suitable for all audiences.
Meeting points and registrations
Participants can depart from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, at Fuente Luminosa (8:30 AM), or from Telde, at Parque Franchy Roca (9:00 AM). Registrations must be made exclusively by email actividadesturcon@gmail.com from November 24 to 27.
