

Solidarity – «Coastal Cleanup»
Solidarity — Cleaning on the coast of Arinaga and Vargas, Agüimes, Gran Canaria.
The Agüimes City Council has opened the registration period to participate as a volunteer in a new coastal cleaning day. The initiative, promoted by the Department of Beaches with the aim of contributing to the conservation of the coastal environment and raising public awareness about the impact of marine pollution, will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, starting at 9:30 AM.
The call is open to all audiences and interested individuals can formalize their registration from May 22 to June 2 through the municipal website: aguimes.es/playas. The activity will take place at several points along the municipality's coast, with the meeting points being the Avenida Mancomunidad de Arinaga, at the corner of Fernando Villamil street, and Vargas Beach. There, attendees will receive the necessary equipment to carry out the task and, once finished, there will be a day of coexistence among participants.
