They are coming!! They are coming!! The Jesters are coming!! Intensive Course School of Jesters at La Escupidera. The procession of the preachers of reason arrives, the choir of torn orphans of God, those who speak the truth through comedy.

But, in a nutshell, what is a Jester? The Jester points out our weaknesses and ambitions, and thus we reflect as spectators on the cruelty of our civilization. A critical theater born hidden behind laughter and comedy, seemingly despicable and deformed, but beautiful at its core for being able to exhume human evil and thus be put on trial. We refer to this as an act of contrition, where human beings can reflect on their way of acting without feeling hurt by being parodied. Let us laugh at the Jester, let us laugh at him and with him, let us laugh at ourselves, for deformed truths are our harsh reality.

• Metamorphosis – from the Apollonian body to the grotesque body
• The choir of jesters and their mechanisms
• Social denunciations, from veiled criticism
• The fictional body and its characterization

Jesters are part of meta-theater, belonging to this universe submerged in the underworld, where they denounce through parody and humor the horrors and injustices of society. It is a comic and dark being, possibly the most intelligent and most dangerous mask among the artifices of the stage. This course allows the student to discover and have fun with this acidic and provocative character, an essential figure in the history of human comedy.
