Workshop – The Grammar of the Symbol

Workshop ‘The Grammar of the Symbol’ at the Cueva Pintada Archaeological Museum and Park, Gáldar, Gran Canaria.

It is proposed as a deep and technical immersion into the visual system of the indigenous culture of Gran
Canaria, taking Cueva Pintada as its core. The program breaks down the geometric patterns present
in supports as diverse as mural painting, ceramics, pintaderas, and textiles to understand the
system of this language, its execution process, and its social or identity meaning.
