Theater – The Boy of the Half Moon

25 April @ 18:00 - 19:00

The company Comediantes de la Cacharra Verde returns to the stage with its family show «El niño de la media luna» (The Boy of the Half Moon), a theatrical proposal aimed at children and family audiences that can be seen next April 25, at 6:00 p.m. at the Cultural Center of Santa Brígida, Gran Canaria.

El niño de la media luna (The Boy of the Half Moon) is a production based on the life and work of the writer Miguel de Unamuno, conceived to bring younger audiences closer to the work of one of the great authors of Spanish literature in a playful and participatory way. Through a careful selection of texts from titles such as Niebla (Mist), Abel Sánchez, or La tía Tula (Aunt Tula), the piece proposes a journey through some of Unamuno's most emblematic stories and characters adapted to a stage language accessible for boys and girls.

The company Comediantes de la Cacharra Verde was born in the Canary Islands in 2008, integrating musicians, actors, and singers dedicated to producing children's and family shows with a participatory, musical, and creative approach. Throughout its trajectory, they have created multiple productions —such as La casita de los cuentos (The Little House of Stories), Bailando con cuentos (Dancing with Stories), or Los colores de Violeta (Violet's Colors)— always with a hallmark aimed at fostering imagination, culture, and a taste for performing arts among the youngest.

The initiative is part of the cultural program of the Department of Culture, directed by Avelina Fernández Manrique de Lara, and seeks to promote access to theater and reading from an early age.

Note: Admission to the show is free
