The other beast is her alter ego, her scarlet letter, her most personal stamp. No one can escape from themselves nor from the uncontrollable monster within. The multifaceted actress and creator Ana Rujas is the author of this intimate laboratory in which theater, poetry, fiction, and autobiography are mixed. Pedro Ayose and José Martret direct a confessional piece, based on direct and very sharp texts, which expands the language of the dramatic to hit us forcefully in our lower abdomen. The impossibility of writing, the failure of identity, and the need for encounter bring back to the stage the importance of Rimbaud's «I is another». “The other beast” is a multidisciplinary show that recalls the need for redemption through art and how a creative spirit can tame the humid and monstrous animality that, at times, possesses us from within.
