Theater — «Moms»
Theater — «Moms» at the Nuevo Teatro Viejo, Arucas, Gran Canaria.
The Adult Theater Classroom of the Municipal Artistic Schools of Arucas presents the play «Moms», by the Catalan writer Marc Egea, a scenic proposal that is part of the programming for International Women's Day.
This play, performed entirely by women, offers a profound reflection on what it means to be a woman in the first quarter of the 21st century, inviting us to question identities, fears, longings, and various life paths in a changing social context. The story is set at the encounter between Elena and Carla, two women with very different realities, cultures, and ideologies who meet for the first time at the gynecologist's office a few months before giving birth.
Although their differences initially seem insurmountable, the shared experience of motherhood and the care of their future children will weave an unexpected bond between them.
The cast is made up, in order of appearance, of Carla García Pérez, Sofía J. Santana González, Beatrice Meroni, Mar Suárez Santana, Raquel Martín Rodríguez, Gema Afonso Hanna, Freya Ortega Frugoni, and Lucía Morera, under the experienced direction of Rafael Rodríguez Cabrera.
Free admission until full capacity.
