Talk – Lana Corujo: Writing is seeing with your hands
Talk by Lana Corujo ‘Writing is looking with your hands’ at the Pérez Galdós House-Museum, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Writers Cycle at the House-Museum. Lana Corujo is an illustrator and writer.
Leonora Carrington leaves us with this revelation that transforms the gaze. I ask myself: What does it mean to look? How do you look when writing? When I write, I look for what stirs in the invisible. I write to build a bridge between image and thought, between memory and the present, between the world
and what dwells in the shadows. I look at the words and feel that something more dwells within them, like a horse galloping in the depths, waiting to be named.
