Leonora Carrington leaves us with this revelation that transforms the gaze. I ask myself: What does it mean to look? How do you look when writing? When I write, I look for what stirs in the invisible. I write to build a bridge between image and thought, between memory and the present, between the world
and what dwells in the shadows. I look at the words and feel that something more dwells within them, like a horse galloping in the depths, waiting to be named.
