Talk – Silvia Nanclares: Telling Ourselves in the Crowd
Talk by Silvia Nanclares: Telling ourselves in the crowd at the Pérez Galdós House-Museum, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Female Writers Series at the House-Museum. Autosociobiography or collective autobiography from the self.
Silvia Nanclares (Madrid, 1975) graduated in Dramaturgy from the Royal Higher School of Dramatic Art (RESAD, Madrid). She is one half of Tomo y Lomo, the literary podcast of Carne Cruda Radio, and a columnist for Diario Público. In her latest novel Nunca voló tan alto tu televisor, she has tried to narrate a period of contemporary history seeking
the balance between the biographical and the historical. Writing a text with personal roots but at the same time located in a collective imaginary has posed a challenge that has led her to explore issues such as the narrative voice, spaces, or structure.
Free admission, until full capacity.
