SYNOPSIS: Madrid neighborhood of Maravillas. Eloísa, a selfless wife and efficient mother, lives with her husband, a municipal guard more authoritarian at home than in the street. Her son is a devout man who left the seminary before taking his vows. The daughters, two sisters obsessed with wealth, harbor a deep hatred for each other.
