Dance – Nuit en Danse
Dance «Nuit en Danse» at the Agüimes Auditorium Theater, Gran Canaria.
Ballets de Tenerife, under the artistic direction of Héctor Navarro, presents its new artistic proposal ‘NUIT en danse’, a unique evening that will take the audience on a sensory journey, exploring various styles and languages of contemporary and classical dance. The night will begin with Divertissement, a classical piece that pays homage to Frédéric Chopin's most celebrated compositions. Accompanied by a live interpretation of his piano works by Luis López, the dancers will display their refined technique which, with elegance and virtuosity, celebrates the beauty of classical ballet. This piece is presented as a play of contrasts, where subtlety and strength coexist, reflecting the very essence of the company. Next, choreographer and dancer Dorian Acosta will present Renacer, a contemporary work that pays tribute to La Palma and its people after the devastation caused by the volcanic eruption, conveying a message of hope and resilience, inviting them to move forward despite adversity. The dance, full of emotion, reflects this process of personal rebirth. After a short 15-minute break, the evening will culminate with JAHRESZEITEN, a work that explores the passage of time and seasonal changes. Through abstract and conceptual dance, the dancers illustrate the emotions linked to the cycle of the seasons and how these natural changes affect human behavior. Music serves as a common thread to shape a reflection on the rhythms of the natural world, which are reflected in human existence itself. ‘NUIT en danse’ is presented as an evening of contrasts and sensations, in which each piece is offered as a unique experience capable of moving and surprising spectators at every moment.
