A camera can reveal much more than images: it can record the pulse of a place, the changes of an era, and the way people relate to their environment.📸
On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Francisco Rojas Fariña (1926–2007), this proposal arrives, bringing together more than 100 snapshots taken during the 60s and 70s. In them, the author captured with attention and closeness the transformation process the archipelago was undergoing.💪🧐
His photographs show the impact of tourism, the economic impulse, and the arrival of new ways of life, without losing sight of traditions, rural daily life, and urban landscapes that were beginning to redefine themselves.
The result is a valuable visual testimony that allows for a better understanding of the social, cultural, and aesthetic evolution of the islands.
