Exhibition Opening » Exhibition: Moby Dick and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria» at the Elder Museum of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
This Friday, January 23rd at 10:30 AM, the exhibition “Moby Dick and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria” opens at the Elder Museum of Science and Technology, which explores one of the most unique episodes in the history of international cinema linked to the city.
The exhibition has been produced thanks to the collaboration of the City Council of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the Elder Museum of Science and Technology, and is curated by Johannes Peter, owner of the vast majority of the pieces on display.
Through more than 500 original pieces, the exhibition analyzes both the literary and cinematographic relevance of Moby Dick as well as the cultural, social, and heritage impact that the filming of the movie directed by John Huston had between 1954 and 1955.
