Opening – Exhibition ‘Dystopian Island Landscapes’
Opening of the Exhibition ‘Dystopian Island Landscapes’ at the Lola Massieu Room-Víctor Jara Theater, Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Gran Canaria.
By Germán Páez.
This exhibition presents pseudo-photographs generated by artificial intelligence that portray a dystopian future, with exaggerated and sarcastic scenarios about the transformation of the island landscape and territory. The images show landscapes invaded by tourists, floods, sandstorms, and overexploited cities, such as Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, in the face of climate change. The photographs are displayed in small boxes grouped by themes, visually criticizing the alteration of the current environment.
Hours: Tuesday to Saturday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Free admission.
