Opening — Conference «The Wells of Oblivion» at the House of Culture, Arucas, Gran Canaria.

The Conference The Wells of Oblivion begins in Arucas to recover historical memory.

The opening ceremony will feature the participation of Pino Sosa Sosa, president of the Association for the Historical Memory of Arucas (AMHA) and Carlos J. González Matos, Councillor for Culture, Democratic Memory and Historical Heritage of the Hon. City Council of Arucas.

During the event, the official program for the 2026 edition will be presented, which includes joint exhibitions such as Recovery of the historical memory of the Francoist repression in the Canary Islands: written and oral sources from ULPGC, the exhibition The Wells of Oblivion by AMHA and the photographic exhibition Tributes for the memory of the victims by Mónica Rodríguez Medina.
