Workshop — «Drawing with game rules»
Workshop — Drawing with game rules taught by Kike Ibáñez (1 Session) at the Insular Library, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
The illustrator and artist Kike Ibáñez will share his experience, show part of his work, talk about making art, and from there, what he shares will introduce them to a creative experience in which children will explore the difference between ‘free’ drawing and drawing with rules.
Through a system of randomly chosen cards, different aspects of the drawing will be defined, telling them what and how they have to draw. The dynamic turns the act of creating into a game, where chance introduces unexpected elements that can facilitate or hinder the drawing process. In this way, participants experience how artists make decisions to solve, overcome, or circumvent obstacles.
The objective is to foster creativity, confidence in drawing, decision-making, and adaptability, understanding limits as a space for exploration.
