Theater – Moon
Theater «Luna», ode to Federico García Lorca, at the Víctor Jara Theater, Vecindario, Santa Lucía, Gran Canaria
A poetic and flamenco journey into Lorca's universe.
After dazzling audiences in each of its performances, the Rocío Pozo Flamenco Company arrives at the Victor Jara Theater with LUNA, a unique experience that pays homage to the genius Federico García Lorca.
Under the magical influence of the moon —eternal symbol of beauty, mystery, and tragedy— LUNA is born, a show of theater, live music, and flamenco dance that pays homage to Federico García Lorca.
A sensory experience where word, song, and movement merge to explore the poet's obsession with the nocturnal star. On stage, the melodies of Falla and Granados, the deep voice of Marta Bolaños, Lorca's prose spoken by José Antonio González, and the vibrant dance of Rocío Pozo and Cristina Rivero intertwine in an immersive atmosphere. Oliver Curbelo's piano, Yuniel Rascón's guitar, and Samuel Medina's percussion accompany this lyrical and flamenco journey towards emotion.
LUNA is not just a show; it is a living celebration of art, poetry, and the soul of flamenco. A scenic tribute to Lorca, the poet of the moon, who continues to shine in the darkness of time.
